Drive toward Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina (via the Mostar highway route).
The whole route has little less than 300km in total. The first part of our route (Split – Mostar) is a very comfortable part – highway route.
In the middle part, we drive on the regional road and our route passes through Bosnia amazing inland. Along the whole way, you will enjoy the impressive scenery.
Optional, we recommend, accordingly to your available free time visit to one or two little towns on our way:
Počitelj – the small historic urban site from the 14th century under the protection of UNESCO.
Mostar – the capital of Herzegovina, built over river Neretva, Old City connected with an “old” impressive stone Bridge, also under the protection of UNESCO.
The last part of our route, approximately 30kilometers (entrance to Sarajevo) of our route is a new highway route.
The required driving time from Split to Sarajevo is 4 hours (ca 300km) plus optional visits and coffee/lunch breaks.
